Most ADHD sleep advice doesn’t work because it wasn’t built for people like us.
I’m Alastair. I created the Neurospicy Sleep Institute™ after a diagnosis I should have had 20 years earlier.
Undiagnosed ADHD. Undiagnosed sleep apnea. A self-medication spiral that looked like stress on the outside and nearly killed me from the inside.
I went through three GPs, two antidepressants, and a lot of caffeine (and alcohol) before I finally got the sleep study that changed everything.
My Apnea-Hypopnea Index was 62 (normal is up to 5, severe is 30). My heart stopped for seven seconds during testing.
That wasn’t burnout. That was oxygen starvation.
Now I help other ADHDers avoid what I went through.
The Neurospicy Sleep Institute exists for those who have been fobbed off – people who are still tired after eight hours. Those told to try a mindfulness app when what they actually needed was medical screening, sensory support, or dopamine-informed transition tools.
Most doctors get less than two hours of sleep training in medical school; it’s not their fault.
Most ADHD sleep problems don’t show up on standard tests. That disconnect nearly cost me my life. This work closes the gap.
